    Antes de registrarte:

    • Ambas competencias son gratuitas
    • Abierto a todas las edades y niveles
    • El registro en línea cierra a las 3:00 PM el 24 de octubre
    • También puedes registrarte el día del evento en la mesa de registro
    • Los ganadores reciben un premio y reconocimiento en el escenario principal

    Before you register:

    • Online registration closes at 3:00 PM on October 24
    • You can also register day-of at the festival registration table
    • Winners receive a prize and recognition on the main stage

    ABOUT THE TROVA

  • La trova es el arte tradicional puertorriqueño de improvisar versos cantados — décimas en rima que se crean al momento, usualmente en respuesta a un tema o a otro trovador. Te presentarás en vivo en la tarima principal y el público escogerá al ganador. No necesitas experiencia — solo trae tu voz y tu creatividad.

     

    The trova is the traditional Puerto Rican art of improvised vocal poetry — décimas performed in rhyme, usually in response to a prompt or opponent. You will perform live on the main stage. The audience votes for the winner. No experience necessary — just bring your voice and your creativity.

    ABOUT THE GÜIRO

  • El güiro es uno de los instrumentos tradicionales más icónicos de Puerto Rico — hecho de una calabaza con ranuras que se toca con una púa de metal.Te presentarás en vivo en la tarima principal y el público escogerá al ganador. Todos los niveles de experiencia son bienvenidos — trae tu propio güiro o déjanos saber si necesitas que te proveamos uno.

     

    The güiro is one of Puerto Rico's most iconic traditional instruments — a notched gourd played with a metal pick. You will perform live on the main stage. The audience votes for the winner. All skill levels welcome — bring your own güiro or let us know if you need one provided.
